Googling Kenworth found me the 953. This model Kenworth is used for hauling over-sized loads in remote areas such as mines and oil fields. This truck is owned by a company called Sapcor which specializes in moving heavy equipment in the middle ease. Pretty cool.

At The Smog Shop...Again

OK...we are at round two at the smog shop. The pumpkin has a new carb (and is leaking oil but that is a different story). They put it on the dyno and did the stress test. The results??? It passed!

While warming it up on the freeway the jeep developed a "click click click". Always something....gotta love old cars.

I really love the jeep!!!

Alive Again

Back from the shop with a new carb...we are good to go. Will try to smog it tomorrow.

In The Shop...

Its been almost two years since the last time the Jeep was in the shop because it wouldn't run right. This time it has to do with not passing the smog test. Apparently the Jeep runs clean at idle and 25 mph, but not at 15 mph....how that can happen on an engine with a carburetor.... I don't know. So it is in the shop again. Every time this happens, I consider the option of converting it to fuel injection. There are various kits out there that remove the vacuum tube and carburetor and replace them with an injection system from an early nineties GM truck. It's a little pricey but who knows.....I love the orange Jeep and don't want to see it go :(

I added a cool flag I found online too.....the flag is from a group from the Philippines who fought against Spain for independence in 1897.

Sunday Sail Day.....And Some Plants

I woke up early this morning and surfed for three hours. I came home and enjoyed an easter breakfast with our neighbors. After that, Michelle and I spent a couple of hours sailing around Mission Bay. Once back, we BBQ'ed some carne asada. We had a wonderful Sunday!

Between sailing and cooking, we took some photos of the plants in the front yard and Jack chillin' out back. I can feel summer coming!

Fun Tuesday

Came home from work and went for a bike ride. The surf was bumpy but I did see someone get barreled out front. Came home and found the photo below. Nothing fancy, just getting tabled while riding down the street. Don't know who the guy in teal is but I posted a photo of me having fun too! Jumping is fun!
 

Smooth Like Butter

Brian Foster has been riding bikes for as long as I can remember. Known for his style, he is an old bmx racer who now jumps bikes for fun. I love his style....very smooth...enjoy.

Dupa Rocket

Our block had a yard sale today. Eight different houses in the row. As usual it was more about socializing and less about making money. Wanna sake set and rice steamer for a dollar?
