I'm chilling at Marina Village watching Michelle receive an award from the California Music Education Association. Last time I was here was 20 years ago when it was known as the Sammon House....or Scamming House! Go Michelle!

Bottle Top Collage

Our neighborhood has been working on a new project recently. the goal is to create a collage out of beer bottle caps. I have been collecting caps from our friends for a while now and today I decided to sort them by color.

Next step is to figure out what the design should be. Please share any ideas you might have.

I threw in a photo of our front yard as well. I love the way it looks after steve and his friends help us clean it.

Long Day Long Cat

I spent the day working on Henry's back house. We also fixed up his man cave complete with lava lamp, old posters, and an old bar bought from a garage sale. Ask that work write me out. Jack too...who ended up going ask the space on the couch.

Polished Up

Steve stopped by our house last Sunday to do some work in our front yard. He and two co-workers spent all day pulling weeds, cutting back plants, and freshning up the garden. They moved some plants around and put gravel in the main walkway. The photo was taken the next morning. Looking good!

Rowing Down The River

I can always count on finding weird videos on prettyshady.com. Prettyshady is a great mix of bmx, formula 1, road bicycling, and random stuff. This video from Vietnam is a perfect example...rolling down the river...

Crashed

No not me...the cat. He climbed up on the couch and crashed out. Not sure why he likes to sleep with his head pushed up against the cushion.

Clean Up The Yard

Patrick and Henry helped me rent a lawn aerator today. It took aprox. 30 minutes to till the yard. Afterwards we added lawn seed and fertilizer. We soaked it for aprox. another 30 minutes. within a month we should have something thick and green. Summer should be good!

Trimmed Up The Jungle

Michelle and I trimmed up the backyard yesterday. We cut eight trashcans worth of clippings and leaves. Later today a are going to aerate(sp) the lawn. Should be fun. We are going to work with Steve on cleaning up the front yard next...it needs some serious help with the weeds ;-)

I had to throw a tortoise photo in as well...the were from a party we went to in Alpine...the people who held the party collected them.
