Warm it up...
I've been driving the truck recently. I wanna keep the jeep alive so I let the engine runs every weekend for about 10 minutes. I have this retro camera app on my phone and I thought I would use it with the steering wheel. Groovy.

Rocky....Sort Of...
The Jog-a-thon is one of our school's biggest fund raisers. During a recent school-wide assembly we tried to "hype" the event with the students by giving a short presentation that involved having me dress up as "Rocky" from Rocky II and run around the auditorium. See below for a short video clip.....you can ignore the part where I nearly fell on the ground :)

I Just Want To Cut The Cheese
I love learning new figures of speech in Spanish. "Por seguro...se va a llover"..... or "for sure its going to rain" is another way of saying "yeah right...I'll believe it when I see it".
The English language has hundreds of them. My favorite experience was in high school when the German exchange student living with a friend of mine asked if he could help us make a sandwich. He said "I really love to cut the cheese" which we thought was the funniest thing we had heard in awhile. He couldn't understand why we were laughing and responded with "what is wrong?....all I want to do is cut the cheese...".
Below is another example of someone making meaning of an English figure of speech...

Glow In The Dark?
I heard the ocean was glowing in the dark from the red tide....at least it was on Friday night. I went to check it last night. Lots of people but no glow.
