Say RJD2 Three Times Fast....

I love Spotify! Don't know what that is? It is similar to Pandora but on steroids....as a matter of fact, by combining the two applications together, I have been able to quickly expand my music library. Loving it!!!!

For example....RJD2. Heard it on Pandora, then quickly found a ton of music by this artist on Spotify...including the song below (which happens to have a VERY cool video....)

Then I found another RJD2 video featuring Bill Shannon, a dancer who has a hip disease. As a result he learned to dance with crutches and wheelies (shoes with little wheels in it). The VISA commercial below features some of his moves. Very original and very cool..and all from Spotify!

Once Every Two Years...

Every two years I buy a pair of sunglasses. 2011 = Ray Ban Wayfarers. Bringing back the 80's with the tortoise shell.

Rock On!

Michelle and I went to RCP Block & Brick yesterday and picked up two bags of small beach pebbles. Today we dug the dirt out between the stones on the side of the house and replaced it with the pebbles.

We like the way it looks. We will check it out for a couple weeks...if it works then we may do the same thing in the front yard.

100 Pools

Below is an exerpt from a promo of a book titled "100 Pools" created by a guy named Dean who rode his bike in 100 different swimming pools. The artwork caught my attention :)

Dean Dickinson has broken his body, his bike, his bank account, and various laws in a quest to reach his personal goal of riding 100 pools. The title of his book—YOU WON’T—is a challenge laid down by some of Dean’s doubters. The reality is—Dean did it, and this project documents it all.

Three posts in one day......I'm finished.

The Bell Says Move Over...

In my never ending quest to construct a blog full of obscure items found on the Internet, my most recent addition is of someone in Japan using a bicycle bell to warn people on the street to move out of the way....which seems to work very well considering the person isn't on a bicycle. I think I've almost seen everything now...I think :)

The History Of English

Found a series of quick videos on the English language. Everything from Anglo Saxons all the way through Internet English. Each short video showcases the introduction of words into the English language along with the year they were founded. The British slant on "American English" (see below) is entertaining.

Check out the entire series here...

Catty Woods

Catty Woods....a cool trails spot in Pennsylvania. Love the sounds of tires on dirt in the beginning. The music is funky, the trees are beautiful. Cool scene...

Party People

I've always had an interest in North Korea. I love the mass games and military parades. Found the video below on a BMX site I like to visit. Someone mixed some wacky hip hop/pop music on top of classic North Korean footage. Interesting if you like North Korea....otherwise you might find it disturbing or just plain boring. Skip to 2:17 for some classic mass games gymnastics.

Let There Be Light!

My honey-do project for today was to hang a new light in the diningroom. A little fabrication and four hours later we have some cool new lights to checkout. Dad helped me figure out what the extra wires in the junction box were for....turns out there are two hot wires but I didn't realize that until one shock and two big sparks later.

We love the new look!

Starlight Starbright...

Michelle and I relaxed in the backyard today. We enjoyed the sun and chilled out with Amy, Andy, an Jesse. Jack found a new perch on our ladder. Once the sun went down, I fixed a couple of outdoor lights in the backyard then relaxed and enjoyed the view. The chili is from our trip to New Mexico. We haven't posted pictures from the trip yet but plan on doing it soon.
